Thanks domino! I've always passes it up because I'd never seen anyone talk about it. Also when did they get rid of their media mail option?! Oof the shipping is nearly the same price as the discs.

Re: Twilight Time / Redwind
Twilight Samurai seems to be on sale for $4.95 at TT's site, definitely worth it. It's a bit confusing, since a search for it turned up nothing, and it doesn't appear under their 'sale' tab. However it was in their email this morning, and here's a direct link:

An email on February 14th from Twilight Time Movies regarding the sale included this:Glowingwabbit wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 3:13 pmAlso when did they get rid of their media mail option?! Oof the shipping is nearly the same price as the discs.
"Shipping: We have discontinued Media Mail as an option for US shipments. While it was economical, it didn't meet the high standards we require in a shipping service. We just added a new, low-cost 2-day express option from FedEx.
We have had a number of shipments returned lately because they are going to a multi-unit building without indicating that it's for an Apartment or Suite If you are shipping to a multi-unit building, please make sure that you include "Apt." or "Ste." in the address before the unit number, e.g. "Apt 5D", not just "5D"
Customs: We have had customs agents in several countries reach out to us about our low valuations. We were told that they would start placing holds on all our shipments unless we started using actual valuations. Effective today we will be complying and use the actual purchase price for the custom's value. We realize that this may be an inconvenience for our international customers, but we felt this was the best action to ensure product delivery."
And ScreenArchives posted this on their website on January 22:
"We are sorry to inform you that due to excessive loss and damages, we will now no longer be offering the Media Mail shipping option. All US orders will only be shipped via First Class Mail and Priority Mail Services, which has always been the standard mailing method available on our site. This is based on weight and not able to be chosen for a preference. All currently pending orders with the Media Mail option selected will still ship via this method. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience"
I never had any problems with Media Mail.

Re: Twilight Time / Redwind
Anyone got a coupon code they could send me for Twilight Time's official website? Apparently you get them if you review a title that you have previously purchased, but I am a first time buyer.

I haven't seen any advertising for this, but almost all Twilight Time titles - including their newest releases - are at least 50% off at Screen Archives right now.

I might finally cave in and catch one and for all my late on these (only for these purchases to be released in the UK in cheaper better releases 3 months later as usual).
Reading blu-ray.com's thread though, many people are wondering if this sale isn't a mistake from SAE, though it might just be people in denial over what's required nowadays for these releases to evacuate their stock.

Re: Twilight Time / Redwind
The Twilight Time site also has them 50% off so it's not likely a mistake. There shipping is still brutal. I ended up getting 4 discs but shipping ends up making them about $17.50 a disc (might have gotten more otherwise). But the 4 I purchased haven't been on sale for under $20 yet and are films I love so I'll get over it... at least until Indicator decides to announce 1 of them
p.s. I think for 1 disc the shipping cost is around $5.50, so it's better to order more.

Re: Twilight Time / Redwind
It's even worse to France. I've found 12 titles, and shipping will be $40.5. I hope it'll be tracked for this cost, and I think they're also marking down the full prices now for customs, so it might get hit on top of that.
I'm actually wondering now if I should bother.

Ordered five blu-rays from Screen Archives and the shipping is $17.80 US to Canada resulting in a total of $23.09 CDN per blu-ray which satisfies me.

For those participating in the 50s project, Peyton Place is well worth picking up at that price, especially if it’s low quantity.. and while you’re at it My Sister Eileen! Both will place in my top ten.
Whirlpool finally joins the moderate price bracket list too, for those who don’t already have the BFI set.

I guess "while stocks last" is longer than expected, even with prices slashed that heavily (though the shipping fees aren't helping).

I'd make an order if I could get one of those discount codes for reviewing a purchase you've already made.

In an email blast today, in more or less the fine print, they mentioned they were discontinuing this. They'll honor any codes already issued, but won't be issuing any new ones. Which for me is a shame, as I have an email inviting me to review Three Coins in the Fountain.

If you get the email and do the review you still may get the discount code. The discount code is (now) only good for $2 off one order (not per title). (Courtesy of what I read yesterday at blu-ray.com.)

I stopped following their new title announcements years ago when I realised the vast majority of their stuff would eventually get Region B releases.
Are there any must have still in print titles that haven't seen an alternative release yet? My Sister Eileen stands out for instance...
