Though it is good to know that this does not contain footage of the worst crime of all: smoking!

Australian classification warnings (?) do have some odd listings. Though I’ve noticed lately they’re not alone.

Of course, it's George Stevens' WWII footage in the supplements, but for a minute there...

The war may be the only way Shelly Winters didn't die on her resume

Oh man. Hahaha. I forgot. I just had to google it. She was denied a death scene, though.

The Winslow Boy def seems like an Indicator title. But their Noir box mixes Paramount, Universal, and Sony titles— I thought general wisdom was labels can’t do that?

Unless you're a little mad I guess. What's so wrong with these that you'd want another label to release them though?

As far as I can tell, this label uses what the studios give them, so nothing other than the knowledge that no Indicator release has ever been bested by another label. I’ll be buying a lot of these titles come October, though the disparity between the two great and the two not great films in the noir set is certainly striking!

An Australian on another forum said that Universal/Sony/Paramount are all under the same distribution company there.

Looks like 3 of the 5 titles from the first batch of releases have already sold out

Nothing glaring, just that other labels seem to be releasing some their output concurrently so far, and the Sorry Wrong Number transfer made me skeptical so soon after the label started, but I haven't looked into how much of that was the label's fault vs. the source and in the early stages of the label it's difficult to gauge patterns based on small sample sizes.

I’m curious how (if) their Major Dundee release will differ from the 2013 Twilight Time release of the 2005 restoration and attempted reconstruction of the work. I’m not aware of any new restoration activity. Also, whether this portends any other labels releasing it in other regions.

There was a German release last year that, to quote Glenn Erickson, was "the first time that the original uncut Preview-International version of Major Dundee has come to Blu-ray with its original soundtrack intact," but used the same master as the TT release.

Is Waterloo still in print? That’s the one I’d be interested in
