Same, it went down right before I placed my order and reset the cart when it went back on. Now officially under maintenance.

I was able to fill my cart, but couldn't place the order. This is the first time that's happened to me.

Hah, exactly what I did, mainly because I figured something like this would happen. This is far from the first time a flash sale's crashed a vendor site.

Also, I splurged like hell - I still have a tax-free address, but with the way things are going, I'd expect that to end fairly soon so better take advantage of it while I still can.

I did this per usual, but then just as our department meeting was ending early as anticipated, my boss strolls in for a surprise visit with her newborn baby, pushing the meeting late and ruining my Criterion plans. Thanks, baby.

I'm confident that there's an Emily Post quote somewhere in Etiquette outlining how best to explain to young mothers that you're busy trying to buy a silent film about devil worship

It'll probably be extended a bit, if that's any consolation.

When was the last time a flash sale happened the same day that new releases were announced? Could that have screwed things up?

I will be surprised if announcements are today. I think they will wait till tomorrow.

I say they postpone the sale until tomorrow and make announcements Thursday.

They might have to given that the sale announcement seems to have overwhelmed the site even more than usual.

Aha. Kept refreshing and kept getting the same error (that and using the wrong URL apparently). Starting from scratch, looks all better now. One last order to go.

The Tati set is now unavailable. Seeing as there's about 16 hours left has there ever been a restock after a sell out for anything from past sales within the same sale period?
