The most unforgivably lazy, and frankly revolting, part of this cover is how Hepburn's hands meet on Peck's torso, meshed together into a deformity that looks like that Futurama character's mouth. So lumpy and weird like, what the fuck it that.

I‘m missing Peck‘s orange suit from this old lobby card: https://movieposters.ha.com/itm/movie-p ... 03-53333.s

I like how they both, in different ways, appear to be shaming the viewer. Like, “really? You’re gonna watch a movie directed by Jon Stewart?”.

I think I sorta like it? I mean, obviously it’s kinda terrible in multiple ways, but I just feel like I can’t stay mad at it. I guess it’s terrible in an endearing way.

My favorite scene in the film is when Tim Robbins asks Morgan Freeman if he can get him some Alexander the Grape

This is actually from the scene where they sing Purple Rain together.

Just to shine some light on how decent that cover actually is... NSFW I guess, if that's even a concern in these days of isolation.

Yeah, sometimes, but my point is that the Shawshank cover really isn't that bad, and it was posted as a comparison, not just to point out bad artwork.

The scene depicted on the cover took place in the woods, far away from the prison fence. The cover makes it almost look like he's still inside. (If the towers are inside the prison fence, then the viewpoint on the cover is inside the prison.)

And that looks nothing like rain.

That Shawshank cover looks more like it's a double bill paired with Song of the South, with Morgan Freeman as 'ol uncle Remus!

Freeman appears to be looking up and laughing at that fool on top of the bridge getting soaked while he's staying dry underneath. Also, why is he casting a reflection in the grass?

Seeing the reduced image on Tapatalk, coupled with my failing eyesight, I thought someone was taking a shot at Criterion’s new Moonstruck cover. Which ain’t that bad, but it’s no family portrait, either.

Is "Dare to dream" a tagline they're really proud of, or is the film actually called The Secret Dare to Dream?

I’m pretty sure that’s the title because “the Secret” is on there twice and I assume it’s related to that new age book about visualizing success to materialize it

The Secret Dare to Dream is also on the spine as is the other instance of The Secret. So the title looks to be The Secret The Secret Dare to Dream

There's apparently a colon in there. I just looked up what the secret is. It's pretty dumb.
