So do these VHS themed blu-rays also contain a transfer of the VHS version of the movie? The Shout channel has been offering 80s era VHS titles in both a contemporary digitally remastered version & lo-fi VHS transfer complete with tape glitches & leading identifying info etc.

It's strictly a packaging conceit. Mill Creek's Sony licenses usually have no extras at all except maybe a trailer.

Victorville Film Archives really seem to be trying to be the Criterion Collection of the VHS tape scene. I am eagerly awaiting my four pack of A Star Is Born in the one format that the films were truly meant to be seen in. Sure I had to sell my Blu-ray copies of all of the films that I already had, but it was a small price to pay to be able to afford the $100 plus international shipping!

I was assured that the films are all in the public domain and will begin shipping as soon as Mark Proksch is better and can get back to work.

Ok, wow, that one is truly horrible, right down to the bizarre placement of the TM symbol.

The way that boy is creepily leering behind the girl is even more disturbing than the bears.

Yeah, it’s weird to see it right in the middle of “Chrisas”.soundchaser wrote:Ok, wow, that one is truly horrible, right down to the bizarre placement of the TM symbol.

"The Greatest Gifts Come From The Heart"? I thought the story was about a little girl breaking and entering and eating everyone's porridge. What obvious shameless revisionism of a beloved family classic!

This is the cover to a set of classic horror movies dating from the '30s to the '70s, including Carl Th. Dreyer's solemn Vampyr, from a company called S'more Entertainment:

But what do the covers for A Big Box of Vampire 1-4 look like?

Let's have some fun with some other Gravitas Ventures (distributor behind 3 Bears Christmas) titles, shall we?

I felt compelled to go to their site to track down the description for the chickenfisting movie, and realized we could basically just populate this thread for eternity from that one site:

I haven’t laughed that hard in a while, especially when Food Boy screams as things come to a head. What’s with the melodramatic tone?

I feel like Gravitas Ventures is some sort of elaborate Infinite Jest joke. Like, if you browse their site long enough you’ll find the samizdat.

I'd believe that one of these films may kill you. Or just looking at the cover in person.
