As Perk said googlechrome is going to be your friend on this one. It's hard even with it.

There is also this retailer which is English-friendly. I'm going to be using them for the order of the new Taiwanese set when there is an official street date.

How can you know that it's more expensive when the new set hasn't been listed anywhere yet? Or are you talking about the Dust in The Wind Blu-Ray (which I already own)?

I am talking about their prices when shipping charges are thrown in.

According to CMPC's Facebook, the four Taiwanese titles are expected at the end of the month. Has anyone found a place to order them yet? I can't find any information about these titles anywhere!

These are £10 more expensive than the Dust in The Wind blu-ray, let's hope the Taiwanese retailers are cheaper.

Considering yesasia's shipping charges, at least one of the Taiwanese shops is bound to be cheaper. I'm glad they're offering the films separately as I'd have been reluctant to blind-buy all four in one box. That way, I can buy a title at a time (April & May are already going to be a tough time for my wallet).

Thanks for linking to Yeasia. I notice that if you spend over $39 which these BDs qualify for, you get free international shipping. I have only ordered once before from a Tai store, and they charged me about £12 shipping, on a £8 DVD. So this may not be too bad afterall.

So this seems a good deal compared a store like JSDVD. Probably the same price! As the BD is due to be about 600-650 TWD, or more, plus the 610 shipping to europe. Of course, if you plan on ordering multiples, it will be much cheaper on JSDVD, as you can get a few more in for the same shipping costs.

Screencapture samples for all four blu-ray are posted at a Chinese site.

That's probably not the best shot for The Terrorizers, but hot damn does Vive L'Amour look great.

Agreed, a no-brainer purchase for me as is Chen Kuo-fu's terrific The Personals which looks to be an infinite improvement over the (much appreciated though extremely poor) First-Run Features disc. I haven't seen either of the other two films, or know an awful lot about them but both look great, and I'm pretty much sold on Tropical Fish just because of that amazing screencap.

I have to admit I found Tropical Fish not up to the standard of the other titles, but worth a look nevertheless. Don't hesitate on the sublime Terrorizer, though.

Most importantly, the screencaps are not glowing blue. The Terrorizers and Vive L'Amour are instant purchases - who knows, they may even be 1080p not i. Likewise I'm not fussed by Tropical Fish, but I've never heard of The Personals so I'll have to look that up.

Just noticed Yesasia list these blu-rays as 1080p. Maybe it's a mistake, but hopefully this means they're learning. Preordered them from Yesasia - free shipping, $10 discount deal if you buy The Personals and The Terrorizers together, and an easy to read website beat any discounts elsewhere.

John, I had a look and didn't see those discounts before. But it seems there is no way to get Terrorizers and Vive together with a discount? Those are the two I would like :(

I'm in the same boat. ~$77 is a lot for a couple blurays.

I know, I cracked. Terrorizers and Vive were the ones I wanted as well. But as far as I could tell you could only get a deal for The Terrorizers and The Personals together, or Vive L'Amour and Tropical Fish. Only the ridiculously strong Australian dollar and the fact that these are some of my favourite films helped me convince myself that $35 is an ok price for a blu-ray. I have no doubt they'll be cheaper elsewhere in a couple of months and MOC will mock me by using these telecines for a couple of superb releases in 2012.

I cracked too. The Personals is great, as far as my erratic memory serves, and it's even less likely to get ported to the US or UK than the Yang or Tsai, so I don't think you'll regret it. (I also picked up the last couple of Hongs on DVD, since these tend to go OOP fast and you can't rely on anybody else in R1 or R2 coming to the party, despite his relatively secure international profile).

I went the opposite route and bought some Johnnie To as a supplement to Terrorizers, Vive and The Personals. Oddly enough (not really), now The Personals is the film I'm looking forward to - it is the "something new" of my order. Admittedly, your praise and what I read elsewhere helps as well.

About crack. I bought the The Terrorizers (together with Dust in the Wind, albeit it's substandard specs, i.e. 1080i), Vive l'Amour and The Personals. I am not sure yet about Tropical Fish.

P.S. Through a striking occurrence I also thought of "some Johnnie To", e.g. his The Sparrow (Hong Kong version). Other To suggestions?

Get Exiled first if you haven't got that one yet. I won't get paid until Friday but then I'm going to get Vive L'Amour and The Personals, perhaps The Terrorizers later in the year. JSDVD still hasn't got any of them listed.
