I hope so, as I reordered it from Alapage and it has now shipped. It seems to be in stock now (wasn't when I reordered).

Probably a dumb question . . . but are alapage and fnac significantly cheaper than ordering directly from Gaumont?

I ordered the Guitry box from Gaumont.fr on the 16th. It was shipped the next day.

Not if you're just ordering the one item. The reason to shop elsewhere is to buy other stuff at the same time and economise on the postage. I almost never place a single-item order when I shop at FNAC, Alapage or Amazon.fr

Visa. I've had no problems with ordering from them. But then I don't speak French - maybe I clicked on the right button by mistake.

The packaging is beautiful. On the downside, most of the discs in my set arrived scratched b/c of that beautiful packaging.

I'd love to hear folks' thoughts on the movies themselves. (Is this the wrong thread for that?)

So far, I've only watched "Will and Testament," which was murderously dull, and "Story of a Cheat," which I loved.

I just ordered the Guitry set from alapage, although I notice they are now listing it as "on order, available in 2 -3 weeks." No reason to worry about alapage actually getting this back in stock, is there?

Currently on Amazon France for 79.99 euros. That's the cheapest it has been for ages.

After having been back up at the the MSRP for a while, this box is once again down to 79.99 euros at amazon.fr.

I figure that I'll put together an order over this weekend (other life issues prevented me from taking advantage of the previous sale).

Not sure that this is the best place for this, but ........ In looking at filling out my order to make the shipping more reasonable, I had a question.

There are two French editions of Drole de Drame; one with a better image and more extras and the other with English subs. French is the closest that I come to having a second language but I'm not fluant enough to turn off the subs. So I'm wondering if anybody knows of any other English friendly version being in the works?
