Bedazzled sounds up Indicator's alley, so I'd hold off on that one too

When you hate the fact that one of your favorite movies is getting a Blu-ray release. How can words describe that feeling?

Not that it's a film I have any desire to see again, but the True Story of Jesse James looks rough

That's mean man. You know the unpaid interns designing these covers have nothing else to work with.

That's actually the original poster font for...Yanks, yup. (Good porn title...don't even need to change it!) I wonder who's shelling out the big bucks for this bluray? Probably no-one good. Schlesinger is a true moron of the cinema.

Boo to you sir. While like many other directors Schlesinger did have a decline his '60s and '70s output is fairly unimpeachable.

Seconded. A Kind of Loving, Far from the Madding Crowd, Midnight Cowboy and Sunday Bloody Sunday
are favorites. And while I can't wholeheartedly recommend Yanks, I think it is definitely worth seeing for one of Rachel
Roberts' last film performances.

Count me in that camp. I have a personal disposition towards Midnight Cowboy, Far from the Madding Crowd, Marathon Man, and The Day of the Locust (hint hint Criterion).

Wow, Beat the Devil... I might take a shot at this, mostly for the commentary. I’ve always wished the hype I had for that picture paid off, Huston tells some very affectionate stories about Bogart on Cavett.

I'll third that. For me Schlesinger declined after The Falcon and the Snowman. I even liked Honky Tonk Freeway which helped to destroy his career.

My MoC of Yanks arrived yesterday and I'm looking forward to revisiting the film for the first time in over 10 years. Loved Yanks when it was released and its a real shame that its never really gotten the appreciation it deserves - one of the best depictions of WW2 London.

Yes it really looks terrible. Two different generations of Fox fucking up color on a film baked into one transfer!

Ahh, I meant to post this. I have the old German Blu-ray and thought Tooze was overselling this new one. It is extremely dark and quite red.

They really abused the contrast setting to a rather insane degree.
